WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HEADS TO OAKLAND FOR FIRST MEETING WITH HOLY NAMESHeading into a crucial stretch as the sixth seed in the Pacific West Conference standings currently, Academy of Art encounters Holy Names this weekend. In a game that is sure to have deep meaning beyond the playoff push, the Urban Knights return to the site of an overtime loss that ended the Urban Knights' eight-game undefeated start to conference play last year.

KNIGHT WATCHOwners of the best turnover margin (5.10) in the PacWest, Academy of Art is nearly double its closest competition in that category with Point Loma at 2.71 thus far. ART U is also first in the conference in steals per game (9.81), tied for first in offensive rebounds per game (16.1), and third in scoring (74.4 points per game). On just eight occasions through 21 games have ART U opponents registered fewer than 13 turnovers.
Junior guard
Zoie Sheng is the team's leading scorer at 13.7 points per game (13th in PacWest) and she ranks fourth in the conference in free throw percentage (81.8%). Sha'Nice Storey is now tied with junior guard
Jasmin Guinn at 12.7 points per game. Storey remains one of the most dangerous shooters in the PacWest, connecting from deep 33.3 percent of the time and averaging two makes per game.
Guinn has stepped up her foul shooting of late, making 16 of her last 18 shots at the line. She sits at 11th in the conference in rebounding (7.6 rpg) and her next steal will tie Sondra Stilwell for the all-time career record. Making her

Regina Camera came back from a six-game absence last week and currently represents the fourth Urban Knight averaging double figures in scoring at 10.0 points per game along with 3.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game. She is 11 points away from passing Lorraine Etchell (837) into second on the program's all-time scoring list.
HAWKS ON HARD TIMESOn the losing side for their past 13 straight games, Holy Names' last victory came on Dec. 13 when the Hawks topped Notre Dame de Namur 59-56. Since that time, nine PacWest teams have defeated HNU including NDNU in the Jan. 14 rematch. Most recently it was Point Loma (67-49) and Dixie State (73-57) who triumphed over Holy Names. Top 12 in the PacWest in scoring, Garysha Youngblood is the team's offensive leader at 14.0 points per game and ranks top five in the conference in steals per game (2.0). ART U is an even 3-3 with the Hawks after splitting the season series in 2014.
