Stine Raben continue to compose one of the top offensive duos in the PacWest Conference. Brum comes in averaging the 12th-most kills per set (3.32) and Raben is right behind her with the 13th-most kills per set (3.26) in the conference as the tandem account for over half of ART U's 14.54 points per set. POINT OF ATTACKSince their 3-1 victory over ART U on Oct. 14, Point Loma swept both Dominican and Holy Names in San Diego to improve to 11-8 overall and move into seventh in the PacWest standings. PLNU continues to pace the PacWest in both total kills and total assists with Heather Leavitt's 4.57 kills/set atop the PacWest and Savannah Wedemeyer still leading in assists (11.01 ast/set). After their meeting with ART U earlier this year, Point Loma is now 5-0 against ART U.
FLIGHT OF THE CONCORDIAOne more win and one less than Point Loma in the PacWest standings, Concordia Irvine swept Holy Names after topping Academy of Art on Oct. 15, giving them now five consecutive victories entering the week. CUI is supported defensively by Taylor Dennison's 5.89 digs per set (first in the PacWest) and Kyra Auten's 0.93 blocks per set (sixth in conference). Rachel Flynn maintains her second-place among the PacWest's kills leaders at 4.20 spikes per set. She and PLNU's Leavitt are the only two hitters currently putting up more than 4.00 kills/set.
