San Francisco, CA — Coming off its largest goals output of the season and its largest margin of victory in a year, the Academy of Art University men's soccer team will look for its offense to carry it through its final road trip of the season which starts this week with games at Azusa Pacific and Dixie State.

The Urban Knights (5-9, 3-5 PacWest) first travel to Azusa, Calif., Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. game at Pacific West Conference leader Azusa Pacific. ART U then heads to St. George, Utah, to face last-place Dixie State for a 10 a.m. MDT kickoff.

Academy of Art scored five goals Saturday and shut out visiting Chaminade in the process for a 5-0 win, snapping a four-game losing streak, a two-game scoring drought and notching its largest victory since beating the Silverswords 6-0 in Honolulu on the same weekend last year, on Oct. 26, 2013.

ABOUT THE COUGARS
Azusa Pacific (11-2, 8-1 PacWest) has won seven in a row and nine of its last 10 to find itself atop the PacWest standings. Three other teams follow right behind within five points, so the final two weeks of the season will be just as important to the Cougars. All seven of their wins in their current streak have come by one goal and the last two were in overtime.

The Cougars have gotten at least three goals from six different players this season, led by Luke Ackermann with five goals and 12 points. APU has outscored its opponents 26-15, outshot them 171-126 and put 22 more shots on goal (77-55). Tyler Jaramillo has held opponents to a 1.17 Goals Against Average in over 1,150 minutes played.

ABOUT THE RED STORM
Dixie State (1-11-1, 1-8-0 PacWest) has lost six games in a row, five by one goal and two straight in overtime. It has lost three straight at home and is 0-3-1 overall this season in St. George, Utah. The team's lone win came at Chaminade, 2-1 on Oct. 6.

The Red Storm has been outscored 30-10 this season. DSU has logged only seven assists in 13 games and has had just six of 25 players who have seen time on the field score goals. Jorge Echavarria leads the way with three scores. Three different goalkeepers have split over 1,160 minutes of play time between them.

CAREER DAY FOR KRISTOF
Junior midfielder Kristof Urbanyi had a career-best day Saturday with five points to help lead the Urban Knights to a 5-0 win over Chaminade at CCSF.

Urbanyi scored the Knights' first two goals Saturday – both in the first half – and later assisted on their final goal of the game in the 90th minute to ice the victory. Urbanyi now leads the Knights with 11 points (4 goals, 3 assists) this season after entering 2014 with six total career points in two years (2 goals, 2 assists).

LATE-GAME DRAMA
The late-scoring action continued last week for Academy of Art, which has now seen last-minute drama in its last six games. Its last three losses saw goals scored in the 81st minute or later, including two game-winning goals scored in the final 78 seconds. The Urban Knights have seen goals scored in the last two minutes or later of five of their last six games.
