LEADING OFF

The Urban Knights come back from Hawaii having salvaged a game from the road trip with Hawaii Pacific and UH Hilo. ART U had strong pitching performances in Hilo but struggled on Oahu against the Sea Warriors, while they head into the eleven-game homestand where they can break the program record for wins.

KNIGHTS DOUBLE-BARRELLED ON THE MOUND
The Academy of Art tandem of redshirt junior Aaron Garabedian and redshirt sophomore Nate Gercken have been stellar on the mound, posting very simliar numbers throughout the season. They each have 10 starts, while Gercken has thrown 55.1 innings to Garabedian's 55.0 mark. Garabedian recently overtook the lead in ERA (3.27) while Gercken is close behind (3.42). The two have combined to pitch 110.1 innings while only allowing 41 earned runs and holding opponents to a .262 batting average.

BEEVERS LEADING THE WAY FOR WARRIORS
Cal State Stanislaus has been led so far this year at the plate by outfielder Craig Beevers, as the senior has been batting .309 this year while also leading the team with 13 RBIs. Skippy Ferreria (.298) and Andrew Graves (.291) are also near the .300 mark for the offense. On the pitching side Michael York has been the most solid for the Warriors, making six starts and pitching to the tune of a 3.12 ERA in 34.2 innings.

BRACKENRIDGE SURGES IN HOMECOMING
Lyle "Kalani" Brackenridge's turnaround was documented before the Hawaii trip, but the infielder had even more success in his home state, getting a hit in every game except one and reaching base in all eight games in Hawaii. Dating back to March 9, Brackenridge has had 10 multi-hit games, and in tthe 25 games since then has only had one where he didnt reach base. In Hawaii, he had 11 hits in 27 at-bats, scoring five runs and coaxing four walks, raising his average over 30 points.

ON DECK
After Cal State Stanislaus, the Urban Knights will play the other half of the home and away series with Holy Names on April 26-27 before closing the season against Azusa Pacific on May 2-3.
