Previous Week Recap:
After returning from their road trip in Hawaii, the Urban Knights most recently hosted Humboldt State in a non-conference double header. The Urban Knights ended up splitting with the Lumberjacks. AAU came up short against Humboldt in the first game with a score of 4-7, but they turned things around, and brought their offense to life in the second game, and were able to defeat the CCAA members 6-2. That was the Urban Knights' last non-conference game of the 2010 season.

Homestand News: The Knights will resume PacWest conference play during this homestand. They will face the two other Hawaiian schools that they did not play during their time on the Islands. The Urban Knights start with BYU Hawaii in a four game series on March 26th and 27th, and conclude the homstand by hosting conference leaders Hawaii Pacific on the 30th and 31st.

Leading the Urban Knights: AAU has played the least amount of conference games in the PacWest, but still sit in the middle with a 3-5 record. Ashley Lokey is leading the Urban Knights with a .417 batting average with 35 hits, 18 runs, nine doubles, one triple, and 16 walks. Shampayne Clay is right behind her with a .370 batting average including 30 hits, 13 runs, and six doubles. Clay also leads with a .986 fielding percentage, and only one error recorded on the season. Sierrah Garcia has been solid on the mound for the Knights this season. She currently has a 2.89 ERA, with 35 walks, and an impressive 99 strikeouts.

Scouting BYU Hawaii: The Seasiders sit in 8th place in the PacWest standings with a 1-21 overall record. They are led by Morgan Necaise who is batting a .271 with 13 hits, two runs, and one double. Ashley Parry is also doing well for her team by posting a .239 batting average with 11 hits, five runs, one triple, and a .364 on base percentage. Parry is also 4-5 in stolen bases. Janeece Veazie leads the Seasiders in the circle with a 6.54 ERA, and has posted five strikeouts. Last season when the two teams faced each other, BYU Hawaii defeated the Urban Knights three games to one.

Scouting Hawaii Pacific: The Sea Warriors are having a terrific season thus far. They have an overall record of 23-1 and are 14-1 in conference. HPU is ranked 3rd in the Nation according to the NFCA polls, and are in first place in the PacWest standings. They finished in first place in the PacWest during the 2009 season as well. K. Toriano is leading the team with a .479 batting average with three doubles, 13 RBI's, seven walks, a .545 on base average, and is 11-11 in stolen bases. C. Senas is also leading with a .439 batting average, 29 hits, 20 runs, three triples, a .545 slugging percentage, and is 7-7 in stolen bases. Their ace S. Musquiz has a 1.16 ERA, has given up 15 walks, recorded 48 strikeouts, and has a 12-1 record in 70 innings pitched. This will be the first time the two teams will play each other.

Looking Ahead: After the homestand, the Knights will hit the road again for their final road trip of the season. They will first travel to Arizona to play Grand Canyon University on April 2nd and 3rd, and then return to play locally at Notre Dame de Namur University on April 10th and 11th.
