Up Next: Urban Knights Volleyball - Menlo College and Dixie State College

THE STREAK COMES TO AN END:
The Urban Knights dropped their third match of the season and their first match in six games to the Notre Dame de Namur Argos Saturday Nights at Walter Gleason Gym, 0-3. The loss was the Urban Knights first sweep of the season as NDNU cruised to a 0-3 win. NDNU beat AAU 36-34 in the first set, 25-15 in the second and 25-21 in the third set. With the loss, Notre Dame de Namur jumped to third place and the Urban Knights dropped two spots to fourth place in the PacWest Conference rankings.

UP NEXT:
Their upcoming match with Dixie State College sparks the first of a five game, three - team home stint. AAU will battle both Chaminade University and Hawaii Pacific twice following their match with Dixie State. Dixie State is currently in second place in the conference and has won their last two games. Hawaii Pacific and Chaminade are fifth and seventh in the league respectfully. 

SCOUTING THE OAKS:
Menlo College is 3-5 on the season picking up their fifth loss against Dominican University. Senior middle blocker Deborah Bekowies leads the Oaks with 76 kills on the season. Sarah Poole and Sarah Katie Pendley are averaging 2.0 and 1.9 kills per game respectively. Poole has 55 kills on 116 attempts while Pendley is right behind her with 51 kills. Poole also has a team high 23 blocks to go with her 55 kills. Stephanie Williamson has dished out 155 assists thus far in the season racking up a season high 29 assists against Occidental College on Aug. 11.

SCOUTING THE REDSTORM:
Dixie State is coming off Back-to-Back wins over Grand Canyon University, has an 8-3 overall record, and is 2-0 in conference. Three players have accumulated over 100 kills thus far this season, Alex Shearer (100), Brita Noble (128), and Katie Luna who has a team high 147 kills to go with 144 digs to lead Dixie State. Chelsi DeWitt paces the Redstorm with 468 assists and averages 10.4 assists per game. At the net for DSC is Morgan Hill who has accrued 47 blocks this season.

ARGO RECAP:
Academy of Art University women's volleyball was defeated by Notre Dame de Namur University in three sets (36-34, 25-15, 25-21) on Saturday night at Walter Gleason Gym. Junior outside hitter Dan Yang posted a match-high 21 kills to go with 11 digs while junior outside hitter Jelena Jakovljevic had 11 kills and 11 digs. The Urban Knights are now 11-3 overall and 1-1 in Pacific West Conference play. NDNU, on the other hand, moves to 4-10 overall and 2-0 in PacWest play.
