THE MASTER'S COLLEGE:
The Academy of Art University men's basketball team travels south for its second game of the season where the Urban Knights will play The Master's College this Saturday. After sustaining a loss to Cal State Monterey Bay, Academy of Art continues its stretch of five games on the road to begin the year.

OPENING TIP:
AAU will be in Santa Clarita, CA for its meeting with The Master's College on Nov. 21 to continue a series that the Mustangs currently lead 1-0. The game is set to begin at 3:00 PM in the confines of Bross Gym.

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS:
The Master's College, a member of the Golden State Athletic Conference, completed its 2008-09 season in the middle of the conference standings with a 8-12 record. Like the Urban Knights, the Mustangs have played one game this year, a 68-59 victory over Simpson University, in which guard Joey Fuca poured in a game-high 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting. When AAU and TMC met last season, Fuca connected on three 3-pointers and the Mustangs shot over 50 percent from long range in a 92-65 victory for The Master's.

OTTERS TOP KNIGHTS IN SEASON OPENER, 66-52:
On the road for their first game of the season, the Urban Knights dropped a 66-52 decision to the CCAA's Cal State Monterey Bay. Although Academy of Art practically matched the Otters offensively in the second half, a 9-0 run by CSUMB forced AAU to play catch-up the rest of the way. The Knights shot just under 26 percent from the floor as a team, but junior forward Jonathan Burnett led Academy of Art University with 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting.

LOOKING AHEAD:
On Nov. 27 and 28, the Knights will play in the first of three tournaments this season. Western Washington University hosts the Chuck Randall Thanksgiving Classic where Academy of Art will start by facing WWU in the nightcap of Day 1 and then St. Martin's University in the afternoon of Day 2.
