AGAINST THE ARGONAUTS:
Point guard Sondra Stilwell led the Urban Knights in scoring for their fourth consecutive game with a career-high 21 points, but it was not enough to defeat Notre Dame de Namur who prevailed 60-73. AAU established a six point advantage in the first half before the Argonauts came back to take a 29-31 lead going into halftime. NDNU's Britni Rathke had 12 of her 28 points and 12 of her 20 rebounds in the second period to give the Argonauts a late-game push after the game was knotted at 53. Forward Levalasi Key added 10 points and six rebounds as every Urban Knight scored in the contest.
POST GAME COMMENTS BY COACH YAMASAKI:
Against Notre Dame de Namur: "Sondra Stilwell was by far the most outstanding player last night. Sondra continues to rise to the occasion each and every game; she has learned that we need her to score even though she is the smallest player on the floor. Her leadership, tenacious defense and her ability to score is something that we rely and hopefully her consistency in doing so will start to rub off on her teammates. More than anything her ability to play at a fast pace for the entire game is invaluable to our team."
