San Francisco, Calif. -- The Academy of Art University Men's soccer team won their fourth game of the season this past Sunday. Facing off against La Sierra University, the AAU Men came out strong with their offense. The Urban Knights attacked first and never looked back, as they ended up taking the game by a score of 2-1.
The first Urban Knight goal came 27 minutes into the first half on a shot by Daniel Waller, his second of the season. It was then AAU goalie Jose Herrera's turn to go to work for his team. He posted four saves on the game and only allowed one goal during the night. The Urban Knights held La Sierra University scoreless in the second half, and kept their offense strong. The game winning goal came in the 89th minute of play off a shot by Richard Luna, his first of the season. The Men out shot their opponent 11-4; and that was all they needed to take the game.
With the win, the Men's record improves to 4-5-2 overall. They are set to take action next again against La Sierra University on October 18th. The game is scheduled in Riverside, CA at 7:00 PM.
