David Frank begins his third year as an assistant coach with the Academy of Art University Men's Soccer program for the 2015 season.
Frank's first two years with the Urban Knights rank among the program's top three winningest seasons (2013, 2014). In his time with ART U the Urban Knights have produced seven All-PacWest players.
Having served as an assistant coach for the UC Santa Cruz men's soccer program from 2007-2012, Frank brings a strong coaching background. In his time with UCSC, Frank was heavily involved in the program's fundraising, recruiting, and guiding the student-athletes.
Currently, Frank coaches club soccer at Marin FC in the north bay, as head coach of the U17 boys and assistant for the U14 US Development Academy team.
Frank graduated from UC Santa Cruz in summer 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management Economics and is currently working on a Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration. He played college soccer for UCSC and went on to play professionally in the MLS and German Bundesliga reserves. Frank also holds a USSF "B" coaching license.
