Academy of Art's Marie-Jeanne Ourega excelled on both the track and in the field, turning in a pair of season-best marks over two days of the APU Franson Last Chance.

First on May 12, Ourega achieved her farthest long jump of the year, soaring to a 20-9 (6.32m) mark that keeps her third in the nation, was second on the day only to Nike's Rhesa Foster, a two-time Pac-12 Long Jump Champion previously with Oregon, and bested Azusa Pacific's Nicole Warwick who remains second in the country after winning the Pacific West Conference title in late April.

After reaching the 100m hurdles final on May 13, the Communications & Media Technologies major proceeded to finish with not only her best time of the year, but also her career at 13.49 across the line. She elevated to sixth in the country as well as fifth in ART U history while battling former U.S. Olympic Team Trials qualifier Danielle Beattie and Azusa Pacific's Jaylah Walker.
