Part of two new Academy of Art track & field program records in a pair of relays and owner of a top 10 time in the country in the 400m, Duncan Agyemang came away from a memorable weekend at the Mt. SAC Relays.

He began as the Urban Knights' anchor in the 4x100m relay on Apr. 14, contending with NCAA Division I Washington State and Pitt State to help post a 40.24 alongside his teammates Emmanuel Ajiroba, Robin Black, and Ajani Ince. The mark elevated the team to ninth in the country as Outdoor Nationals provisional qualifiers and broke a program record that had stood since 2016.

On Apr. 15, Agyemang challenged professional athletes (Paul Dewedo, Daniel Lopez-Stokes) as well as NCAA DI talent in the 400m dash where he delivered a season-best 47.08 that was nearly 0.60 seconds better than his debut time from mid-March and put him 10th in the country. The best was still yet to come, however, as the Communications & Media Technologies major joined Makarios Page, Black, and Shareez Hamm in breaking a nearly decade-long program record in the 4x400m with an incredible 3:05.20 that served as the sixth-fastest time in NCAA Division II history. The group rose to first in the nation by more than three seconds.
