Junior utility Cailee Grayhorse-Pupecki swung for extra bases five times with plenty of run production in a six-game week for Academy of Art softball.
Beginning with a
Mar. 23 doubleheader against Chaminade, the Fashion Design major was 1-for-3 in the first game before going 2-for-2 with two runs batted in, a double, a triple, and one run scored. Grayhorse-Pupecki then opened a four-part series with Hawaii Pacific on
Mar. 24 by posting a 2-for-3 effort that featured another run driven in plus a double and a run scored. Bouncing back from a hitless second contest, the Los Angeles native proceeded to match her career high with three hits (3-for-4) including another triple (seventh of her career to put her third in ART U history), another RBI, and another run scored before finishing the
Mar. 25 twin bill with a 1-for-3 performance that featured yet another double as well as one RBI and one run scored.
After finishing the week hitting .500 (9-for-18) with five runs batted in, four runs scored, two triples, and three doubles, Grayhorse-Pupecki's season batting average has now risen to .304 and comes with 13 runs batted in and nine extra-base hits.
