Leading Academy of Art volleyball offensively throughout its second non-conference tournament, graduate student outside hitter Amalie Rupertova played a key role in the Urban Knights' 3-2 victory over Chico State to punctuate the week.
The native of Tlucen, Czech Republic recorded seven or more kills in all four matches, beginning with eight versus Northwest Nazarene on
Sept. 1. She added five digs and two block assists in that contest then posted those same numbers plus seven kills and two service assists against Cal State East Bay on
Sept. 2. In the Friday nightcap battling Seawolves/Penguins Classic co-host Sonoma State, Rupertova increased her totals with 12 kills, four digs, and three service aces. The Industrial Design major closed out the weekend with a season-best 17 kills while notching her second double-double of the year with 11 digs and two assists on
Sept. 3.
Rupertova is now tied for fifth in the Pacific West Conference with 2.96 kills per set while adding the team's third-highest digs per set average (2.36).
