At the GVSU Snowdown Showdown on Feb. 4, Marie-Jeanne Ourega continued her stellar season with two more event victories in the long and triple jumps.

The Communications & Media Technologies major highlighted the weekend by achieving a new personal record and the second-farthest distance among NCAA DII jumpers this season at 20-5.75 (6.24m). In addition to improving upon her previous Indoor Nationals provisional qualifier, Ourega continued to close the gap on program record holder Vashti Thomas in the event. Ourega added a first-place result in the triple jump as well, going 39-5.25 (12.02m) for now a combined seven first-place marks across the long and triple jumps in four meets.
