A significant improvement came for Yacouba Gnacko in the triple jump to highlight his second weekend competing as a collegiate student-athlete.

At what will be the site of the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field National Championships this March, Gnacko bettered his previous best by more than three full inches in the event. The Jan. 21 Division 2 Rumble In The Jungle featured a 50-6.25 (15.40m) for the Paris, France native in his third attempt which kept him third in the country (the lone freshman in the top 13) and second in program history. He checks in at more than three feet beyond the Nationals provisional standard.
