Freshman outside hitter Ashley Mecham guided Academy of Art volleyball both offensively and defensively in the Urban Knights' first Pacific West Conference win, a 3-0 sweep of Fresno Pacific on Sept. 22.

For the third consecutive match, the Interior Architecture & Design major posted a double-double taking the form of a match-high 17 kills plus 13 digs. Her offensive success came with a season-best .359 hitting percentage.

Mecham ranks eighth in the PacWest in points per set (3.62) and ninth in kills per set (3.19) with a total of seven double-doubles on the season.
