In just his second race for Academy of Art men's cross country, junior Saba Khvichava finished fourth overall at the SF State Invitational on Sept. 10.

Among a large contingent of runners from No. 4 Chico State and some from Simon Fraser throughout, Khvichava bettered his time from the USF Invitational by more than a minute, going 24:48.7 through the 7k course at Golden Gate Park. He ended up fourth among NCAA Division II runners for the ART U men's squad in fourth as a team.

"It was the first real great run for Saba so that was great for him to be up there in the top five," said Interim Head Coach Bruce Jackson.
