Junior guard Brianna Cates served as the leading scorer for ART U women's basketball in the team's first two regular season games including a 77-65 victory over Western Oregon on Nov. 10 to finish the Cal State East Bay Veteran's Day Classic.

Cates averaged 22.0 points in addition to 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game and was extremely efficient in her first halves of play, combining to put up 26 points in 30 minutes of action. She scored 12 points including a pair of 3-pointers during ART U's 43-point second half push to defeat Western Oregon and did not commit a turnover in that contest.
