Academy of Art University Athletics

Senior utility Brenna Mitchell proved to be instrumental in both wins for Academy of Art University Softball this past week. In the Urban Knights' doubleheader sweep of Notre Dame de Namur on Apr. 5, Mitchell hit .500 (4-for-8) with four runs batted in, a home run, and two runs scored.

The first contest saw the Interior Architecture & Design single and drive in what would end up being the winning run in the first inning of a 5-0 final. She then accounted for the game-winning RBI and run scored in game two when she launched a two-run homer in the third inning.

Currently hitting .336 and now tied for second on the team with two homers, Mitchell is also tied for fifth in the Pacific West Conference with 10 doubles.
