Junior Sterling Hawkins was named one of this week’s Urban Knights of the Week after tying for first at the Sonoma State Spring Invitational.
 
Hawkins entered Tuesday's final round tied for second, but a strong final day propelled her into a two-way tie for first-place with Haley Whitbeck of Sonoma State. Both Hawkins and Whitbeck finished with 151 strokes overall (+7), but Sterling posted a stronger first round (74) and followed up with a 77 on Tuesday. The San Jose, Calif. native finished her second round with four birdies on the third, fourth, 10th, and 16th holes. Hawkins has now finished within the top seven in seven of her last eight tournaments.
