In a historical performance to complete the Oxy Invitational, Valentin Pepiot became the first Urban Knight to break the 14-minute barrier with a new Academy of Art 5000m record time of 13:57.37. He led all 105 runners in the event and was the first ART U competitor to post a NCAA Division II Nationals automatic qualifying time this outdoor season. When all was said and done, Pepiot was elevated to sixth in the country in the 5000m.
