Junior Kamyle Glover continued her offensive tear with a pair of three-hit games on Mar. 28 in ART U's sweep of Holy Names. Along with four runs scored, two runs batted in, and a double, Glover's 6-for-7 day increased her season batting average to .457 which ranks fourth in the Pacific West Conference.
In the opener, she singled and scored in the first inning, put down a sacrifice bunt in the second, singled and scored in the fourth, then completed her 3-for-3 day with another single in the fifth as Academy of Art rolled to an 8-1 victory. Shortly thereafter, Glover would deliver a 3-for-4 second game highlighted by a two-run double in the third that plated the Urban Knights' first runs en route to their 6-2 win.
"Kamyle has grown a lot from last season," co-head coach Randy Ward said. "She has stayed confident for the entire year and the results show that. She was patient and put good swings on pitches she could drive for a successful day."
