At the D-II Indoor T&F Team Challenge at SPIRE this past weekend, Jordan Edwards expanded his repertoire of events at NCAA Nationals with 400m mark of 46.82 (1st of 23 & program record) which becomes the #1 time in the event in all of NCAA Division II. His automatic qualifier for NCAA Nationals is the first for any Academy of Art track & field athlete this season.

"It was my first open 400m dash so I was completely out of my comfort zone," Edwards said. "I had to get in my zone to perform well and not let my mind defeat what I came here to do. Secondly, I had to learn how to run the open 400 along with it still being my first indoor season. There are great things to come this year, but my new goal is to take that 400m indoor national title along with the 200m!"

Edwards also joined three of his teammates for a Distance Medley Relay time of 10:17.18 (just shy of the program record) and #1 placement out of four teams competing.
