Senior Briana Stewart, a pioneer of Academy of Art University track & field, closed out her career this past Friday in the 100m hurdles as part of the 2013 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Stewart returned to Drake Stadium in Des Moines, IA where she was part of a historic weekend earlier this season.

In the second heat of Friday's 100mH opening round, Stewart, who was just two lanes over from Lolo Jones (Asics), pushed past a challenging start and finished strong with a 13.15 coming at the end. She claimed sixth place in her heat and took 20th overall.
