Freshman Lucia Zavarcikova has been quick to settle in to the Urban Knights star-studded tennis rotation, and this past week has really picked it up, winning her last four matches and six of her last seven, all in straight sets. The Bratislava, Slovakia native defeated Division I Montana State's Paulina Lopez 6-3, 6-3 and Holy Names' Katie Stutz 6-0, 6-0 on March 22nd, and followed that up with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Kaitlyn Ireland on March 23rd.
Zavarcikova has gone 5-1 in the fourth singles spot, and since teaming up with Jenny Johansson in doubles play has been a perfect 6-0 in the past six matches, including victories over Montana State (8-3), Holy Names (8-0), and Cal State Stanislaus (9-7) in the past week.
