Lindsay Elgin already commands a presence on the volleyball court, standing 6'3, but last week showed that being tall is only part of the package that led to her breakout performance against UH Hilo. The sophomore middle blocker exploded for 20 kills in a five-set loss to the Vulcans, and has jumped up to the third-best kills mark on the team. More remarkably, her 20 kills came on a .545 hitting percentage, with seemingly every attack falling in. Elgin also posted three blocks, giving her a total of 55.0, which also leads the Knights.

It marked the third time Elgin posted double-digits in kills, and the second time this year that an Urban Knight has gone over the 20-kill plateau. Her .545 percentage in the game was good for seventh all-time in a single match, and her .276 hitting percentage on the year ranks second on the team and 12th in the conference amond qualifiers. She sits just three kills away from 100 on the season.
