Sophomore forward Jonmundur Gretarsson was simply on fire this past week in the Urban Knights' start to Pacific West Conference play. Logging two assists as well as a goal during Academy of Art University's 1-1 week, Gretarsson showed just how collaborative the game of soccer can be.

Leading the way in ART U's 2-1 victory over Azusa Pacific on Sept. 13, Gretarsson became one of now six Urban Knights to register two assists in the same match. He backed that up by scoring the Knights' second goal as they valiantly tried to rally back from a 3-0 second half deficit against Point Loma on Sept. 15.

“Johnny worked very hard and was very unselfish in his play,” head coach Daniel Rosaia said. “You could see he was thinking about his teammates. The guys are playing more together as a group and you're starting to see that now.”
