Senior libero Janelle Burnett garnered the first Athlete of the Week honors for the 2012 women's volleyball team after her defensive performance at the Cal State Monterey Bay Otter Classic. Burnett totaled 61 digs in the four matches last weekend, good for a 4.36 average, which currently ranks fourth in the PacWest. 

Burnett, a native of Liberal, KS, transferred in last year from Dodge City Community College. Coach Ed Jackson has stressed her leadership on the defensive front as being key for the Urban Knights in 2012.
