In her best finish this season, junior Irinel Zamfir took 4th place in the Crystal Springs Invitational this past Friday. Zamfir, who suffered a foot injury which kept her out of action for the first race of 2009, worked herself back to full health with the Sundodger and Stanford Invitational to be able to complete the 5k course in San Mateo with a time of 19:34. It was her highest placement and personal best time (two tenths better than last season) since becoming an Urban Knight.
