With double-digit kills and digs in three of the Urban Knights' four matches, senior outside hitter Leinani Keanini gave ART U solid all-around production in the Holiday Inn Crossroads Classic this past weekend. She now leads the team in both categories with 107 kills and 116 digs on the season.
On the first day of action, Sept. 9, Keanini posted 17 kills as well as her highest hitting percentage of the season (.371). Her 22 digs in that match helped contribute during a tough five-set battle with Western State. The Kailua, HI native followed up that performance with another 17 kills and 13 digs against Fort Lewis. Then, in the Knights' final match of the tournament, a 3-1 victory over host Colorado Mesa, Keanini delivered 12 kills with 19 digs and five service aces.
