With major hits in all three of Academy of Art University's victories, sophomore Andrea Hanchey was a key factor in the Montana State Billings Desert Stinger tournament this past week. The Galt, CA native finished the span of five games 10-for-16 with a home run, three runs batted in, and three runs scored.
In ART U's 14-4 domination of Northwest Nazarene on Feb. 12, Hanchey was 4-for-5 and scored one of her two runs in the Urban Knights' big four-run first inning to begin the game. Later that evening, Hanchey clubbed the first home run of her Academy of Art career to lead off the second inning against Lewis University. Her run was pivitol in a contest that would end with ART U on top 3-2.
