Moving up nearly 20 spots up in the triple jump national rankings during his final weekend of action, Academy of Art’s Yacouba Gnacko achieved a new season-best at the Franson Last Chance.

The Industrial Design major competed against an Olympian from Team Italy as well as NCAA Division I talent on May 10, launching to the farthest distance by a NCAA DII student-athlete this season at 52-1.75 (15.89m) on his first attempt. He ended less than two inches from the mark that ranks second all-time in program history (52-3.25 / 15.93m).
