Although he won't always show up in the stats, Vilmundur Sveinsson is an integral piece of Academy of Art University men's soccer. As a captain and starting defender, Sveinsson led the charge against Bethany University on Sept. 12 this past week. It was a grueling match in which both teams combined for 25 fouls, four yellow cards, and one red card, but Sveinsson helped the Knights stay strong with his leadership and defensive physicality. AAU currently stands atop the Pacific West Conference standings with a 3-2-1 overall record.
