A key contributor in the first win of the season for Academy of Art volleyball, freshman outside hitter Kerrigan Habing offered multiple breakout performances in the Urban Knights' four matches as part of the Mountaineer Volleyball Classic in Colorado.

Habing opened the weekend tournament with a pair of kills against Texas A&M-Kingsville then achieved a season-high 10 kills hours later in ART U's 3-1 victory over Western New Mexico on Sept. 13. She hit .250 to contribute to the Knights' highest collective hitting percentage in a four-set match since 2021. The following day, Sept. 14, saw the Fashion Marketing major top her previous season-high with 11 kills to just one error for a .303 hitting percentage (her top mark of 2024) while adding a season-best three blocks against tournament host Western Colorado. In the last match of the weekend against Fort Lewis, Habing impressed defensively as well, totaling double-digit digs (11) for the first time this season while sending down seven kills and posting two service aces as well.
