A strong finish to the 2023-24 regular season for Academy of Art women's basketball was led by sophomore guard Alba Rovira Ayuso.
The final week began with ART U defeating Biola on
Feb. 29 in a game that saw Rovira Ayuso score a game-high 23 points (one off her season high) on 9-for-16 shooting from the field with four 3-pointers, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Two days later on
Mar. 2, the native of Valencia, Spain was again the leading scorer for the Urban Knights, adding three more triples, six rebounds, and two steals in a battle with Point Loma that came down to the final minutes.
Rovira Ayuso finished the regular season ranked third in the PacWest in scoring (13.9 points per game), second in 3-pointers made per game (1.8), seventh in three-point percentage (.326), eighth in field goal percentage (.407), and top 22 in both steals per game (1.5) as well as rebounds per game (5.3).
