Academy of Art women's basketball freshman guard Lucia Revenga impressed on both ends of the court during a 1-1 week for the Urban Knights to begin the New Year.
In a 55-44 Pacific West Conference victory over Hawaii Pacific on
Jan. 2 to open 2024, Revenga neared the program's first triple-double with 13 points (8-for-9 from the free throw line), seven rebounds, and seven steals. The Madrid, Spain native earned
PacWest Defender of the Week honors with the effort, tying for the second-highest steals total of any PacWest competitor this season. Revenga added four points, two rebounds, one assist, and one steal against Westmont on
Jan. 5 to finish the week with averages of 8.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.0 steals per contest.
Thus far in 2023-24, Revenga ranks third in the PacWest in steals per game, averaging 2.3 thefts per contest, while adding ART U's second-highest scoring average at 9.8 points per game.
