Sean McGuire enters his second season as assistant coach for the Academy of Art University men's and women's golf teams.
McGuire comes to Academy of Art with several years as an Assistant Golf Professional under his belt. After a three-year stint at the Burlingame Country Club in Hillsborough where he handled tournament operations and provided instruction, McGuire would continue his career at the Poplar Creek Golf Course in 2007. McGuire has most recently worked as a Golf Shop Assistant at San Francisco's own Presidio Golf Course since 2008.
A local product, McGuire attended Burlingame High School, then Cañada College in Redwood City and the College of San Mateo.
